Texas Tornado kills seven as US storm death toll reaches 25

Seven people killed in Texas as tornado strikes several cities near Dallas. Bodies of people reported missing since storms swept across much of the southern US during the week discovered in Mississippi and Alabama.

At least seven people have been killed as tornadoes struck Texas, bringing the total death toll in the US south to 25.
Four of those who died were involved in a car crash, which took place in Garland, 15 miles north east of Dallas in an accident which was attributed to the weather on Saturday night.
Three others were killed in Collin County , about 20 miles north east of Dallas, although the circmstances surrounding their deaths were unclear.
The National Weather Service confirmed tornadoes hit multiple cities around Dallas on Saturday evening. Weather officials said there were reports of debris falling from the sky onto a highway in nearby DeSoto.
In Ellis County, south of Dallas, Stephanie Parker, the emergency management co-ordinator, said: "We have destroyed and damaged homes."
The latest deaths on Saturday came after less than a week of tumultuous weather – unusual warmth, tornadoes and torrential downpours – which sparked flooding and wrought havoc during the Christmas holiday.
Two deaths attributable to weather were reported Saturday in Mississippi: two people who have been missing since Wednesday, bringing that state's death toll to 10. Late Saturday, one death was reported in Alabama.
In Texas, meanwhile, residents hunkered down for what the National Weather Service was calling a "historic blizzard." Some parts of the Panhandle could see as many as 14 inches (356 millimetres) of snow, with sub-zero wind chills and accumulating ice. Residents in Lubbock and Amarillo prepared for a storm expected to begin Saturday night.

Don't disrespect the king! LeBron James catches Warriors fan calling him a 'crybaby

Don't disrespect the king! LeBron James catches Warriors fan calling him a 'crybaby

One Golden State Warriors fan sitting courtside during their Christmas day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers was caught red-handed making fun of LeBron James.
During the first half of the game in Oakland's Oracle Arena, the millionaire basketball player was attempting to sell a foul.
Video shows the female fan sitting courtside making the crybaby motion with her hands as the 30-year-old stands just a few feet in front of her on the court.
Seconds later, he turns around and it appears as though he caught her in the act to see exactly what she was doing.
Though he didn't say anything to the Warriors fan, it's clear that for a few seconds he glared in her direction.
The Christmas day game seemed to be a rematch of last season's NBA finals between the two teams.
The Warriors came out on top beating the Cavaliers 89 to 83 and move to 28-1 on the season.
They also improved their perfect home record to 14-0.

The 'Pretty Little Liars' actress is set to tie the knot with longterm boyfriend Hudson Sheaffer after he popped the question.
Sasha, 19, and her 26-year-old fiance both took to Instagram to share the happy news, showing off photos taken by Jonnie + Garrett.

Showing off her stunning ring, Sasha wrote: ''The best day of my life. Thank you @jonnieandgarrett for capturing the moment.''

The photographers thought the couple were a ''dream'' to work with.

They wrote: ''Today's proposal in the clouds. These two are a dream.''

Sasha is likely to have lots of time to plan her wedding as it was recently revealed 'Pretty Little Liars' is to end after its seventh season.

Actress Troian Bellisario said earlier this year: ''It's only got a seventh season. Yeah, that's it, we're done after this.''

However, there could be a spin-off movie, but it won't happen for some time.

Show boss Marlene King said: ''We've got some really big ideas for a great PLL movie, but that won't happen right after the series ends.

Jose Feliciano wishes Weston seniors a Feliz Navidad

Weston resident and nine-time Grammy award winner Jose Feliciano brought some holiday cheer to the Weston Senior Center on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Accompanied by local musician Suzanne Sheridan and longtime collaborator Bill Rother, Feliciano performed an hour-long set of Christmas songs and fan favorites to a room of about 70 Weston seniors and their guests.
A virtuoso guitarist, singer and composer, Feliciano consistently tours the world, appearing at major concert venues.
For his contributions to the Weston community, Feliciano was named a Distinguished Citizen by the Connecticut Yankee Council — the local chapter of the Boy Scouts of America.
Consistent with his nature, he performed Thursday’s concert for free to an elated group, who clapped and sang along to every song.
Feliciano performed Christmas classics like Jingle Bells and Winter Wonderland, and his own smash hit Feliz Navidad.
Feliciano added interesting melodies and guitar picking styles that were faithful to the songs while simultaneously adding his own flair to each piece.
At the end of the set, Feliciano received a standing ovation and remained at the senior center to pose for pictures and talk with fans.

In Oakland, Some Raiders Fans Fear the Meaning of ‘Last Home Game’

In Oakland, Some Raiders Fans Fear the Meaning of ‘Last Home Game’

OAKLAND, Calif. — It was group therapy night on Monday at Ricky’s Sports Theater and Grill, where clumps of Raiders fans alternated among anger, hope and fatalism.
On Thursday — Christmas Eve, no less — the Raiders played their last home game of the year, and possibly their last home game ever in Oakland.
After yet another underwhelming season ends, the Raiders, along with the San Diego Chargers (who lost to Oakland, 23-20, in overtime Thursday night) and the St. Louis Rams, are expected to apply to relocate to Los Angeles. The 32 N.F.L. owners could vote as soon as Jan. 12 on whether to allow one or two of them to leave.
At Ricky’s, in San Leandro, a 10-minute drive south of O.co Coliseum, fans stewed amid the old Raiders programs, bobbleheads and jerseys lining the walls, fearing the worst about the possible move yet looking for signs of optimism.
They had been here before — the team left Oakland for Los Angeles after the 1981 season but returned in 1995.And so over wings and beers, members of Save Oakland Sports, a fan group, worked through the scenarios: The Rams move, and the Chargers and the Raiders stay; the Chargers and the Raiders, who want to build a stadium together near Los Angeles, move; the Raiders build a new stadium in Oakland; and on and on.

Jennifer Lawrence Admits She's Kissed Liam Hemsworth Off Camera

Jennifer Lawrence is one lucky lady!
Not only has the 25-year-old actress had steamy makeout sessions with Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth on camera, but she's had a few off camera, as well!
In a new interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live!, JLaw plays a round of "Plead the Fifth," in which she's asked three questions and can only refuse to answer one of them.
Following up on reports that the former co-stars were spotted kissing in NYC last month, Andy asked Jennifer if she's ever kissed Liam Hemsworth off camera. To which her reply was a big, fat YES.
"Liam and I grew up together," she said. "Liam's real hot . . . What would you have done?"
We would have done exactly what you did, girl!
